Air Pollution Can Cause Kidney Disease
Air pollution has become a huge problem in major cities in different parts of the world. We often equate air pollution with the smoke of motor vehicles that are quite a lot in urban areas.
However, there are many other things that can cause air pollution whether cigarette smoke, industrial smoke, or even dust and household smoke.
One thing is certain, air pollution is widely known as one of the triggers of lung health problems.
However, lately it is known that air pollution can also cause problems in our kidney organs.
Study conducted at China's Southern Medical University and led by health experts Fan-Fan Hou, said that if a person is often exposed to air pollution in a long time, then he will increase the risk of enlargement of nephropathy membrane and also will make the immune system decreased significantly.
This means, there will be a lot of toxins that can enter our body and ultimately involve many organs of the body to get rid of it.
One of the organ is the kidneys who have to work harder to filter and get rid of these toxins.
If this continues to happen, then the kidney will gradually experience fatal damage.
The results of this study is obtained from analyzing data from 282 cities in China. As is known, big cities in China are known to have a very bad air quality that make the sky even look as if always covered by fog.
Cities that tend to have very high levels of air pollution show that they have a high number of patients with kidney disease.
This study still requires further studies to study the connection between air pollution and deeper kidney disease.
