Is It True that Foamy and Brown Colored Urine Indicate Health Problems?
Sometimes when we urinate, we see our urine become brownies like tea and very foamy. This is certainly very different from normal urine that is clear or slightly yellowish.
Is this brown and foamy urine indicating that our kidneys are in trouble?
Health expert dr. Akbari Wahyudi Kusuman, SpU from Mayapada Hospital mentions that urinating is a natural process of the body to remove various body secretions derived from the filter results of kidney organs.
If our urine has this brown color like tea and foaming water, he mentions if this is a sign of the lack of fluid in the body. This happens because we drink less water or are exposed to a mild dehydration condition.
To avoid this, he advises us to always maintain a healthy lifestyle, especially in meeting the needs of water and consume lots of vegetables and fruits every day.
In addition, when we already have the urge to urinate, immediately do it in order to maintain healthy kidney organs and keep it in good condition.
However, if we already changed our lifestyle to be better but the color of urine is still not normal, then it could be a sign that our kidneys might have some problems.

Another health expert, dr. Tunggul Situmorang, SpPD-KGH, says that foamy urine indicates that we are experiencing proteinuria, the condition of excessive protein in the body.
Proteinuria itself is a sign that our kidney function is impaired. If we have this condition he suggest that we seek advise from a doctor right away.
